Glenwood Regional Medical Center Announces Reopening of Sixth Floor Telemetry Unit and Welcomes New Director of Telemetry Services
The Sixth Floor Telemetry Unit is dedicated to caring for patients who require continuous cardiac monitoring and closer observation. With advanced monitoring capabilities and a highly skilled team in place, this unit expands Glenwood’s ability to care for more patients locally, including accepting transfers from rural hospitals and regional facilities that need support managing higher-acuity cases.
As part of this new chapter, Glenwood is proud to introduce Chelsea Munn, MSN, RN, as the new Director of Telemetry Services. Chelsea brings with her experience in nursing leadership, with a strong background in clinical care, team development, and quality outcomes.
“This reopening reflects our forward momentum and our commitment to meeting the evolving healthcare needs of our community,” said Chelsea. “It also symbolizes the resilience and dedication of our team as we continue to move through a period of growth and renewal.”
Sandy Goss, BSN, RN, Chief Nursing Officer, has also played a key leadership role in this process, helping guide both clinical readiness and operational planning for the reopening. “Chelsea brings a calm, capable leadership style and a clear vision for excellence in telemetry care,” Sandy added. “We’re excited to have her as we reestablish this vital unit.”
The reopening of the Sixth Floor Telemetry Unit reflects more than just expanded services, it represents Glenwood’s commitment to progress, accountability, and putting patients first. As the hospital continues its path forward, efforts remain focused on investing in people, improving access to care, and strengthening the trust of the community. Glenwood remains dedicated to delivering safe, dependable, and compassionate care, today and into the future.
